Our lives appear to move at a constant high-speed, passing us by so fast that it feels at times, almost impossible to remain grounded and keep our feet firmly planted in one place. To be more mindful and to have a sense of consciousness about my surroundings is something I am constantly striving to achieve. For the past few years I have been on a personal quest to be more aware of not only what I put in my body but also how I take care of my mind as well, trying my best to establish and maintain a surrounding that is encouraging and supportive.
With the end goal allowing me to reach a better level of well-being in my day to day life. The following articles draw from personal experiences and my journey into motherhood, overcoming obstacles along the way and finally learning to accept change and the cold hard fact that sometimes life throws you a giant curve-ball that you just can’t dodge.
COPING WITH PREGNANCY AFTER MISCARRIAGE

OH CRAP MY WATERS JUST BROKE – WHEN YOUR BIRTHING PLAN DOESN’T GO TO PLAN
When I was pregnant with my daughter; I religiously practised yoga, meditation and anything else I could think of to ensure I had a ‘perfect labour’. My birthing plan was pretty much to Om the baby out whilst listening to soothing whale music and spending the best part of my labour in a birthing pool as my husband looked on admiringly at the miracle of birth. Ironically my ideology of what labour would be like totally went out the window when at 34 weeks pregnant my waters broke in the early hours of the morning. Ladies; if you ever want to see a man jump out of bed quickly; tell him you think you’ve either wet the bed or your waters have just broken. I did both. So what happens when your birthing plan doesn’t go to plan? Read More
